William Robert “Bill” Creveling, 85, of Blue Springs, Missouri, died January 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Bill was born January 28, 1927, in Bates County , Missouri, the son of Ira and Clara Edith (May) Creveling. He married Mary Madsen in June 1952. Bill worked for Sears Roebuck Catalog for over 35 years, first as an Order Filler and then many years as gun repairman. Bill enjoyed working in his garden, watching old westerns, and going to auctions.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Creveling; and brother, Marion Alexander Creveling.
His survivors include his son, James Robert “Jim” Creveling of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Doris (May) Hutchinson of Monterey Park, Independence, MO; four sisters-in-law: Mitzi Madsen of Blue Springs, Letha Madsen of Gladstone, MO, Judy Stalcup of Phoenix, AZ, and Jane & Kent Wheaton of Independence, MO; many loving nieces and nephews; and a host of good neighbors, especially Laura Warner.
