Robert J. Dehnert, 73, of Pittsburg, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, December 31st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Robert was born May 23, 1936, in Stanton, Michigan, the son of Ernest and Leah (DeYoung) Dehnert. He was a truck driver. He was a hard worker and a great father.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dennis Dehnert.
His survivors include his wife, Jeanette Dehnert of the home; three children: Cathy Simon of Oak Grove, MO, Steve Dehnert of Oak Grove, MO, & Kristina Langton of Blue Springs, MO; five step-children: Mike Lee of Rohnert Park, CA, Joe Lee of Virginia Beach, VA, Norma Calvo of Suisun City, CA, Lynette Lukes of Callejo, CA, & Jeananne Johnston of Pittsburg, MO; ten grandchildren: Angela Gabb, Ralyn Dixon, Jason Hawkins, Ashley Edie, Brad Edie, Bob Dehnert, Lacy Dehnert, Nicole Foresee, Stephanie Langton, & Andrea Simon; eight step-grandchildren: Nicole Lee, Cecelia Lee, Jason Lee, Steve Lukes, Sean Lukes, Ryan Johnston, Bailey Johnston, & Lindsey Johnston; five great-grandchildren: Logan Wey, Stevie Gabb, Haley Dixon, Alyssa Dixon, & Mason Dehnert; two brothers: Darwin & Edward Dehnert; and one sister: Lois Larsen.
