Richard D. Stumph


Richard Dale Stumph, 67, of Blue Springs, Missouri, formerly of Liberty, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Richard was born on December 30, 1953, in Livermore, California, the son of Stanley Ray and Daisy Marie (Horn) Stumph, and they have preceded him in death.  He retired from Ford where he was a detail painter, as well as the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept. and Ameristar Casino, where he worked in security.  Richard was an avid lover of music, cars, the Royals, and his much-loved Chiefs.  He was loved, respected, and a friend to anyone he met.  He was a large man in life and if you ever met him, you would never forget him.

Richard was the brother to 11 siblings.  7 have preceded him in death: Butch, Barbara, Gene, Larry, David, Jerry, and Duck; and 4 are surviving: Randy, Ronnie, Diane, and Cindy.

He is also survived by his loving wife of 4 years, Loretta D. Stumph of the home; 7 children: Justin (Fran), Michelle (Joe), Anna (Tyson), Ashlynn (Alex), Stephanie (Tony), Kodi (Kymber), and Ashlynn JoRae (Brandon); and he was proud and loving Papa to Zoe, Evan, Loni, Koko, CJ, Jaxon, MacKayden, Dahlia, Onyx, Dakota, and Alanna.
