Sherri M. (Lux) Gloria, 51, of Kansas City, MO, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 3rd at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection of Blue Springs, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Cremation with interment in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO. Contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, to help feed the homeless.
Sherri was born November 9, 1959 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Louis and Ruth (Shortt) Lux. She was a 1978 graduate of Raytown High School. Sherri worked in the insurance field for 33 years. She was employed by Gentiva Health Services of Overland Park, KS.
Survivors include her parents of Grain Valley; her son, Christopher A. Lux; three brothers: Mark (Sherrie) Lux of Orlando, FL, Larry (Julie) Lux of Blue Springs, & Randy Lux of Tacoma, WA; two sisters: Claudia (Tom) Seigler of Independence, MO, & Denise (Arthur) Gallaway of Liberty, MO; four grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews; and a special acknowledgement for her friend & confidant, Warren. Sherri was preceded in death by her brother, David Lux.
Sherri’s family will greatly miss her kind and loving heart and infectious laugh.
