Stanley “Stan” Edwood Johnson, 56 of Stover, MO passed away August 4, 2021. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Machpelah Cemetery.
Stan was born March 30, 1965 in Astoria, OR to Charles B. & Ida “Rose” R. (Rippy) Johnson. He was a member of the American Legion 624 in Sunrise Beach, MO. Stan enjoyed having bonfires, gardening and fishing. Stan was in the United States Coast Guard for 5 years.
Stan was preceded in death by his father: Charles Johnson.
Stan is survived by his wife Connie Johnson of the home; 2 daughters: April Major (Jason Barnes) of Lawson, MO, Anessa Cannon (Chase) of Stover, MO; 3 grandchildren: Tyler, Devin, Garrett; mother: Ida “Rose” Classen of Topeka, KS, sister: Cynthia Ware (Roy) of WA; 3 brothers: Alex Johnson (Alicia) of OR, Chris Johnson of TN, Dan Johnson (Laurie) of KS and many nieces and nephews.
