Virginia Sue Jacobs, 91, of Higginsville, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015. Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13th at Corey Grove Cemetery, Sac City, IA. The family is requesting everyone meet by 1:00 p.m. at the Chautauque Building in Sac City Park at Hwy 20W & Park Ave., so everyone can proceed to the cemetery together. Following the graveside, everyone is invited back to the park for lunch.
Virginia was born March 30, 1924 in Sac City, Iowa the daughter of Cloyd and Pauline (Finley) Hass. She married Russell G. Jacobs February 3, 1945. Virginia was a waitress at Bransons in the Camelot Inn in Higginsville for 20 years, and a clerk at Walmart in Higginsville for 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was Presbyterian. She loved her pets and enjoyed going for walks. She also enjoyed playing card games, going on trips, and visiting with friends and relatives.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband in 2003 and her daughter, Connie Sue Jacobs in 1947.
Her survivors include her son, Brad Jacobs of Higginsville; grandson, Nathaniel Jacobs of Camp Pendleton, CA; granddaughter, Bailey Simpson of Aullville, MO; and two brothers: Dean Hass of Hopkinton, IA & Donald Hass of Joplin, MO.
