Susan Ann Klima, 68, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 21st at First Baptist Church, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
Susan was born March 31, 1949, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edward Lester and Rachel Nadine (Lemmond) Irwin. She graduated from Raytown High School in 1967. Susan worked at Western Electric for 20 years, where she did fiber optics assembly. She and her husband, Danny, also ran 3 self-serve Country Club Carwashes, 2 in Blue Springs and 1 in Oak Grove for 35 years. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was her family’s biggest fan and supporter. She also loved her dogs Paws, Annie and Molly.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Danny Klima on May 22, 2017; sister, Patricia Briner; and two nephews, Jason Irwin & Bret Denti.
Her survivors include her son, Ryan Klima of Bates City; two daughters: Tara Tripp (Chad) of Oak Grove, and Lisa Vescovi (Ryan) of Pleasant Hill, MO; eight grandkids: Vanna Lewis (Justin) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Austin Klima of Oak Grove, MO, Callie Tripp of Oak Grove, MO, Chloee Tripp of Oak Grove, MO, Jackson Vescovi of Pleasant Hill, MO, Jasper Vescovi of Pleasant Hill, MO, Brinlee Tripp of Oak Grove, MO and Jagger Vescovi of Pleasant Hill, MO; three siblings: Ray Irwin (Vonnie) of Blue Springs, Linda Roberts of Texas, and Lyle Irwin (Lori) of Blue Springs; and several nieces & nephews.
