Stephen Richard Konon, 61, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 17th in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove.
Stephen was born April 6, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska. After serving in the Marines, he worked at Marion Labs until the plant closed. After retiring, Stephen delivered for Meals on Wheels, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed collecting Henningray glass. You could find him most mornings at Waffle House doing Sudoku puzzles and visiting with his friends. Stephen was a gentle, sincere, loving, and caring man with a great sense of humor.
His survivors include his wife of 37 years, Joyce Konon of the home; son Joseph Konon of Oak Grove; daughter Stephenie Gelinas of Oak Grove; father Richard Konon of Omaha, NE; mother Joanne Chrastil of Omaha, NE; four sisters; and two brothers.
