Meril Eugene LaHue Sr. Age 77 passed away at his home Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Born December 19th, 1935 in Kingsville MO.
Meril owned and operated “LaHue’s Construction” for more than 45 years. His career consisted of all aspects of Building Trades such as framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, concrete/foundations, all interior finishing including home repair, remodeling, and new home construction. He was well known for his quality of craftsmanship.
For several years Meril volunteered maintenance repairs for the Holden Community Activity Center. He was an active volunteer for the Holden Harvesters, this was his true passion, helping others. He was an active member of the Holden First Christian Church, Holden MO.
He was one of seven children born to Dewey and LiVina LaHue. He leaves his wife, Donna, of the home, 1 daughter Delight (Larry) Davis, 1 son Meril Jr. (Diana) LaHue, 4 grandsons Meril III (Karlee) LaHue, Garret LaHue, Danny Todd, Charles Todd, 1 granddaughter Summer (Andrew) Williams, 1 great granddaughter Ryder Williams, 1 sister Frances Schumaker, and 1 brother Lee Roy LaHue.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. D.O. LaHue and 5 brothers, Albert, Louis, Raymond, Robert, and 1 baby.
Per Meril’s wishes following Direct Cremation, there will be no memorial services.
