David Lee Lawson, 65, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2016. Memorial services will be held at (time) (day & date) at (place), (city & state).
David was born January 3, 1950, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Robert and Lorraine (Flanagan) Lawson. He was a member of Marines and served two tours in Vietnam, and fought in the Battle of Khesanh. He was honorably discharged as an E-5 Sergeant. David was a jack-of-all-trades, and held various jobs in construction. At one time, he owned his own business, Lawson Irrigation Systems, where he installed sprinkler systems. He was also a salesman at Blue Springs Ford for 15 years. David loved fishing, and participated in numerous bass tournaments. He also loved duck hunting and mushroom hunting.
Davis was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents, and his mother. His survivors include his wife, Sandra Lawson of the home; two daughters: Heather Hall of Fishers, IN, and Lauren (Marshall) Melnick of Kingsville, MO; three grandchildren: Alyssa, Hunter, & Tucker; his father & stepmother, Robert & Judith Lawson of St. Pete, FL; two sisters, Debra Gillette & Vicki Woods; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
