James R Madison, Sr. age 67, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, April 20, 2015, after fighting a short battle with an aggressive Cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Marjorie Madison of the home in Montrose, MO; his 3 sons: James Madison, Jr. and wife Leslie of Lake Forrest CA, Daniel Madison of Blue Springs MO, Eric Madison and wife Kathy of Monongahela PA; his daughter, Donna Turner and husband Chad of Blue Springs MO; his 8 grandkids: Jessica and partner Anthony, Matthew, Christopher and wife Krystal, Cody, Chance, Danielle, Hailey and Stephanie; 2 great-grandchildren Lily and Riley; 1 step-grandchild, Lukas; sister, Betty Abend and husband Chuck of NKC; 2 brothers: Donald Madison and wife Ivanka of Croatia, and Aubrey Madison of Independence MO; and numerous family members and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Elizabeth Madison; brother, Leo Madison, Jr; and sisters, Donna Madison and Dorothy Walker. He was a carpenter by trade and retired from Midwest Acoustics of KC, MO in 2001. Jim spent his retirement hunting, fishing and enjoying time spent with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, and will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 24th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Following services, Jim will be cremated and buried at a later date.
