Jammie (Jan) G. McDaniel, 90, of Independence, MO passed away Feb 20, 2014 at her home. Jan was born October 6, 1923 in Cass County, MO to James Lawson and Callie (Dale) Lawson. She was united in marriage in 1953 to James R. McDaniel who preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Michael McDaniel and wife Sally of Independence, MO and a daughter Marsha Gerry of Trinidad, Colorado, plus five granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. Jammie also had a special granddaughter, Tonia Highers of Overland Park, KS.

Visitation is Sunday, Feb 23, 2014 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial service at 1:30 p.m. at New Salem Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in New Salem Cemetery.
