William Burton Osborn Sr., 80, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23rd in Concord Cemetery, Bates City.
William was born April 26, 1939 in Hope, Arkansas, the son of Floyd K. and Margie A. (Sutton) Osborn. He married Carolyn R. Barton on June 3, 1959. William was a member of the U.S. Army, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel after 30 years of service, was a Vietnam Veteran, and was awarded the Bronze Star and numerous other accommodations. William was also an ordained minister and a 3rd degree mason. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
William’s survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Osborn of the home; three children: William B. Osborn Jr. (Victoria) of Weatherford, TX, Jennipher L. Luttrall (Russell) of Bates City, MO, and James K. Osborn (Audra) of Lee’s Summit, MO; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
