Helen “Sissy” Louis Kitchen of Blue Springs, Missouri, went to Heaven surrounded by family on September 20, 2021. Helen was born July 14, 1942, in Beetle, Kentucky, lived in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Blue Springs on December 22, 1973.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother Ora Bently, her father, and her grandson Timothy Lee Dorman.
She leaves behind her husband of 62 years Audie Kitchen; three daughters: Tammy (Jerry) Edgmon, Lisa Dorman, and Kristy Dobbs; five grandchildren: Tonya (Amon) Burch, Jeramiah Cody Edgmon, Somir (Chris) Krebs, Samantha Dobbs, and Jordan Dobbs. She also leaves behind 9 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on October 10, 2021, at Bumgardner Park in Blue Springs from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Donations can be given in Helen’s name to the nearest animal shelter in your area.
