Paula J. Kavanaugh


Paula Jo “Jodie” Kavanaugh, 73, of Independence, Missouri passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1433 N.W. R.D. Mize Rd. Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Jodie was born April 13, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Willard C. and Betty L. (Hollingsworth) Arnold. She was a Call Center Supervisor for MGE for over 20 years. Jodie was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Blue Springs. She loved spending time with her family. She was a dedicated and loving Wife, Mother and Mimi.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sandra Arnold.

Jodie is survived by her husband of more than 52 years, Robert Keith Kavanaugh, of the home; daughter, D’Ann Lynn (Kriss) Mills of Raymore, MO; son, Brandon Keith Kavanaugh (Jaime) of Lenexa, KS; eight grandchildren: Alexa Courtney, Tyler Courtney, Michael Kavanaugh, McKenzie Kavanaugh, Zachary Kavanaugh, Lakyn Kavanaugh, Jordan Walla and Brennan Walla; two great grandchildren: Maple Wren Kavanaugh and Alaia Jo Walton; brother, Dr. Willard Arnold of Sitka, KY; sister, Janeece Buckner (John) of Independence, MO.

  1. What a beautiful lady. Always putting others wants and needs before hers. She was an awesome MGE supervisors. Loved this lady. She was like a sister to me. We had lots of talks , and laughter over the years. Jodie I will miss you.
