Rick A. Klotz


Rick Allen Klotz, 57 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2021. Visitation will be 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Royer Funeral Home; 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, MO. Services will be 10 AM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Lee’s Summit Bible Church; 1200 NE Colbern Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO. Burial at Kroger Cemetery; Oak Grove, MO immediately following.

Rick was born July 26, 1964 to Orville and Frances Klotz (Ham). Rick graduated Lee’s Summit Highschool in 1982 and worked for Superior Bowen Asphalt for 21 years until his heart said no more.  Rick has continued to live large and continued to entertain us in his retirement with his humor and quick wit.

Rick was preceded in death by our father Orville Klotz. Not a day has gone by that he didn’t miss him.

Rick is survived his mother Frances Klotz, brother Russell Klotz, his favorite sister Shelly Stegmaier (Larry), wife Gail Klotz, son Elijah Klotz, step son: Bobby Bolek, step daughters: Jessica Boyd (Cory) and Amanda Bott, nephews: Tony (Megan), Jozef (Brianna), Thomas (Lindsey), Timothy (Kyle) and niece: Justine Klotz (Mark). As well as several step grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. Last, but not least, lifelong friend: David Stevens.
