Carol Sue Rice age 83, passed away on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at her home in Independence, Missouri. Graveside services were held on Monday June 5, 2017 at the New Salem Cemetery also in Independence. Donations may be made to the Holt Adoption Agency in Kansas City, Mo. or the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in Bridgeton, Mo.
Carol was born April 13, 1934 in Cabool Missouri the daughter of Floyd and Maude (Gerean) Richardson. She loved dogs, having family gatherings and listening to Alan Jackson. She enjoyed buying and selling antiques. Although she was not affiliated with a particular church Carol had strong faith in God.
Carol is survived by her husband Paul, and her daughter Sherry (Steve) Hammond of Independence, Mo. two nieces: Rina Sartain of Independence, Mo. and Brenda Gaug of Cartage Mo. one nephew: Gaylord (Kathy) Browne of Colorado. Also surviving is her dog Muffin and many friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steve Rice and daughter Karen Ballowe.
