Irma G. (Nading) Rising, 82, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed from this life on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri; burial in Grain Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or American Diabetes Association.
Irma was born July 4, 1926, in Rushville, Illinois, and moved to the Kansas City area at the age of 13. She was an avid quilter and crocheter and loved making afghans to give to family and friends.
Irma was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Nading, Sr. & Ernest Rising, Sr., two children and three grandchildren.
Irma is survived by 10 children: Gary Pittman, Lee’s Summit, MO; Linda Douglas, Owasso, OK; Cinda Reeder, Grain Valley, MO; Ralph Nading, Jr., Buckner, MO; Richard Nading, Grain Valley, MO; Michael Nading, Grain Valley, MO; Jackie Moody, Lee’s Summit, MO; Dorothy McGreight, Belton, MO; Joyce Martin, Los Alamitos, CA; & Gary Rising, Blue Springs, MO; 23 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren; and 54 great-great-grandchildren.
