Cynthia L. Blair

Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn (Jackson) Blair, 67, of Elkland, Missouri, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 9th after her fight with cancer. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Cindy was born on October 2, 1954, to Glen and Carolyn Jackson and grew up in Independence, Missouri, the first of four siblings. On May 12, 2001, she married her best friend, Paul Blair, and they settled on their beautiful farmland in Elkland, Missouri.

Cindy was preceded in death by her brother, Bryan Jackson, and her grandparents, Silas and Mabel Jackson and Ethel Ludden.

Cindy is survived and lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Paul; her father, Glen Jackson, and his wife Connie; her mother, Carolyn Jackson; her siblings, Diane and Larry Ward, and Alan Jackson; and her children: Jennifer and Butch Clasby; Danny and Angie Oakes; Amy and Phillip Camerlynck; Carrie and Patrick Finnegan; Alex Bradbury; Kimberly and Arlin Burton; and John Blair and Deanna Drapeau. She also leaves twenty-three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many other cherished family members.

Cindy treasured her family, and loved making beautiful, handcrafted quilts and cards for all. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, animals, and her farm life. She always cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.

A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held on October 23, 2021, at the Fairmount Christian Church in Independence, Missouri, 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider writing a check to Paul Blair, who will divide the funds equally between the Sni-Mills Holiness Cemetery to assist in the maintenance of this beautiful, private cemetery where Cindy will be laid to rest, and Children’s Mercy Hospital Adaptive Sports Medicine, which is dear to the hearts of the family.
