Jack Clifford Sawyer, 94, of Grain Valley, MO passed away on Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Medical Center of Independence. Funeral services will be Monday, March 6th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; visitation 1-3 pm followed by funeral at 3 pm. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial contributions to Crossroads Church Building Fund.

Jack was born on October 22, 1911 in Neosho, MO, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Sawyer. He was married to Evelyn (Rickey) Sawyer who preceded him in death in 1983. A grandson, Jeffery Sawyer Jr. also preceded him in death. Jack had been employed as a security guard for the railroad.

His survivors include four sons: Jackie Sawyer & wife Marlene of Yuma, AZ, Jeffery Sawyer of the Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Jimmy Sawyer & wife Patty of Grain Valley, and Jerry Sawyer & wife Katie of Buckner; three daughters: Jeanie Harlan of Las Vegas, NV, Joanne Sawyer of Fresno, CA, and Julie Morgan of Fresno, CA; twenty-one grandchildren: Jay, Judy, Rhonda, Danny, Rhonda, Frank, Kasey, Jeanine, T.J., Jessica, Jamie, Sparkle, Jerry Lynn, Jason, Kasey, Jeremy, Shelby, Justin, Isaac, William, Alan and Ashley; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jared, Hailey, Jessie, Austin, Krysta, Chance, Brittany, Danny, Salena, Tegan, Mason, Timmy Lynn, Jeffery III, Dakota, Jessie, Taylor, Kaden, Cole, Richelle, Ravyn, Madelyn, Kirsten, & Kolby.
