“Cecil” James Scott Wall, 37, of Gardner, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6th at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy or to the Oak Grove Scholarship Foundation.
Cecil was born March 14, 1982, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Ronald D. Wall and Kathy L. (Shrout) Wall. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2000 and from CMSU in 2004. Cecil was an insurance adjuster with Farmers Insurance for 11 years. He had previously worked at Oak Grove Apple Market in the produce department and as a cashier. He was a huge sports fan and loved the Chiefs, Royals, MU, and collegiate wrestling.
Cecil was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jim Shrout, and his paternal grandparents, Melvin & Dolores Wall.
His survivors include his mother, Kathy Wall (Dan Neal) of Oak Grove; his father, Ron Wall (June) of Blue Springs, MO; two brothers: Jeffrey Wall (Calandra) of Kansas City, KS, and Mark Wall (Lisa) of Louisville, CO; his maternal grandmother, Clarabelle Shrout of Oak Grove; niece & nephew, Maci & Max Burnett; and his beloved dog, Cal.
