Katherine Louise Lane, 94, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Katherine was born April 23, 1927 in Maryville, Missouri. Daughter of Sam and Carmen Vanover. She loved to go on short trips. Katherine always enjoyed eating out at the Olive Garden and have dessert at Dairy Queen. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body. Katherine will always and forever be remembered for referring to everyone as “Honey” and saying “Ok, honey”
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Lane, of 55 years; daughter, Eleanor Fournier; brother, David Vanover; son-in-law, Don Fournier; and grandson, Vincent Fournier.
Katherine is survived by her 2 grand-daughters: Terri Pentico (Mark) and Kimberly Martin; 3 nieces: Marilyn King, Beverly Linney and Pam Runde; 3 nephews: Gary Lowe (Martha), Roger Lowe (Debbie), and Allen Lane; and 5 great-grandchildren.
