Bonnie G. Rodman


Bonnie Gail Rodman, 75, of Independence, MO passed away February 20, 2022. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.

Bonnie was born October 9, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Richard & Doris Harden. She was a very young 75. Bonnie was a hairdresser for 50 years and worked hard her whole life raising her two children. She loved doing hair and loved all her customers like family and they loved her. Bonnie loved life and boy oh boy did she live it! She was a very wonderful mother and loved with her whole heart. Her big beautiful blue eyes and bubbly personality lit up every room. Bonnie will be deeply missed.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father: Richard Harden; mother: Doris Harden; brothers: Richard Harden, Jay Harden; her children’s father: Richard Green; husband: Dave Rodman and her companion of 17 years: Leonard Ryan.

Bonnie is survived by her son: Richard Green; daughter: Michelle Vaughn & husband Gary; grandchildren: Richard Green & wife Amy, Waylon Green & wife Jess, Kylie Vaughn, Koriana Vaughn; great-grandchildren: Allie, Bella and Jude Green; sisters: Nancy Harden, Darlene Hough, Cindy Harden and nieces and nephews.

  1. Bonnie was a one in a million! I treasure the fact I was one of the lucky ones that had the pleasure to know an love her . Memories thank god for those, You always knew where you stood with Bonnie , she was game for anything, anytime , anyplace. You will be truly missed , yet loved very deeply by many. Myself included!

  2. Sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing we lost touch with each other. Have so many memories when we were young . Rick and Bonnie, Gary and me, David and Nancy ,Jay and Lind and your momma. We were there when Rick passed that was devastating. So many memories and good times we had so rest in peace my sweet always friend.
