Georgia Kay Hendricks, 80, died on Thursday March 31, 2022 at home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Memorial services will be held on April 7, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Woods Chapel Methodist Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri ~ Service will be streamed at https://livestream.com/accounts/3200605/events/10302246 Coffee and cookies will be served at the church following the service.

She was born in 1942 to Andy and Carrie Smid in George, Iowa. She graduated from George High School and the University of Northern Iowa with a major in business education and a minor in mathematics.
Georgia married Don Hendricks on June 8, 1963 in George, Iowa. She taught high school at Fort Dodge, Iowa, at Nesco in Zearing, Iowa, and at Winterset, Iowa. Georgia and Don owned and operated Culligan Water Conditioning in LeMars, Iowa for 22 years. Upon retirement, they lived on Potato Lake near Park Rapids, Minnesota during the summer. In the winter, they lived in Naples, Florida, then Bella Vista, Arkansas, and then Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Georgia is survived by husband Don of Lee’s Summit, son Mark and daughter-in-law Rebecca and granddaughters Whitney and Amy of Lee’s Summit; sister Shirley Coyer of Minnetonka, Minnesota; and brother Bob and sister-in-law Mary of Spokane, Washington.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law Heidi Hendricks; sisters Clarice Nickle and Joan Hilbrands; brothers-in-law Peter Nickle, Marlin Hilbrands, and Burt Coyer.

14 Apr 2022I was so sad to hear of Georgia’s passing. We grew up together in our hometown in Iowa and were very close friends thru High School. I was also in her wedding to Don as one of the birdesmaids. My condolences go to Don and family!
