Adrian Whitehead, beloved son, brother, fiancé, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2024, at the age of 21. Born on August 21, 2003, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Adrian’s life was a bright and shining example of love, laughter, and unwavering positivity. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact on everyone he encountered will never be forgotten.
A proud graduate of Oak Grove High School, Adrian excelled both on and off the field. He was a fierce competitor, playing football and wrestling. His dedication to these sports was evident in his work ethic and the energy he brought to every practice, match, and game. His teammates and coaches admired his passion, drive, and positive attitude—traits that carried him through all aspects of life.
Adrian had a deep love for Oklahoma University football, and he could often be found cheering on his team with a big smile and infectious enthusiasm. Whether at home or out with friends, his love for the game was matched only by his love for his four loyal dogs, who greeted him every day when he got home from work. His connection to his pets was a reflection of his warm heart and gentle soul.
Adrian’s smile, which could light up any room, was one of his most memorable qualities. He had the rare ability to make everyone around him feel welcome, valued, and loved. His heart was as big as his smile, and he gave both freely to his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
Adrian is survived by his father, Robert Whitehead, his mother, Mia Whitehead, and his brothers Rudy, Alex, and Kaleb. He also leaves behind his fiancée, Destiny Valentine, who was the light of his life. His family was everything to him, and his bonds with them were a source of endless joy and pride. Adrian’s love for his family, combined with his boundless compassion and gentle spirit, made him a constant source of light and comfort to those who knew him.
A celebration of Adrian’s life will be held at New Life Assembly on Wednesday, December 18th. The visitation will be 1:30pm-3:00pm, the funeral will begin at 3:00pm. Though his time with us was far too brief, Adrian’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His smile, warmth, and spirit will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace.
