
Amanda Elizabeth Douglass, 26, of Independence, Missouri passed away on September 2, 2018. A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8th at the Adams Pointe Conference Center, 1400 NE Coronado Dr. in Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Great Plains SPCA, as she loved animals and volunteered there.
Amanda was born on August 16, 1992 in Lawrence, KS, daughter of Nathan Douglass and Crystal (Patrick) Harrison. She worked as a parts expert for Transwest Truck Trailer and RV. She graduated from America’s High School in 2010 and has an Associate’s Degree in Arts. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Cheryll Cockerline; and paternal grandparents, Lee and Shirley Douglass of Eudora, KS.
Her survivors include her mother, Crystal Harrison (Casey) of Independence; father, Nathan Douglass of Robinson, TX; 2 sisters, Mariah Miller (Steven) of Kailua, HI, and Alayna Orsini of Independence; maternal grandparents, David Patrick (Gerrie) of Independence, and Lester Washington (Luberta) of Kansas City. MO; and maternal great-grandmother, Annabelle Wagner of Buckner, MO.
