Anthony E. Potter


Anthony Eugene Potter, 53, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri.  Burial at Sea will be held at a later date.

Tony was born October 23, 1969 in Topeka, Kansas. The son of John Lynn and Pamela Sue (Clark) Potter. He graduated from Chase County High School. Tony served 4 years in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Kansas State University. Tony most recently worked as an Accountant for the Federal Government (USDA). He loved to travel to different places. Tony was always trying new foods. He worked to perfect his favorite foods that he cooked at home.  Tony had a great love of sports. He enjoyed watching a variety of sports at home and traveling to watch different sporting events live.

He is preceded in death by his father; and brother, Michael “Todd” Potter.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Renee Potter of the home; son, Dennis Reed Potter; daughter, Pamela Marie Potter; mother, Pamela Lewis; sister, Tanya White; nephew, Trevor and niece, Riley White; and extended family, aunts, uncles and cousins.

  1. I didn’t have a lot of interactions with Tony while working with him at GSA/USDA, but when we did talk I left with a smile because there was always a good joke to be had somewhere in our conversation. I am sorry for your loss, and I will keep the family in my prayers.

  2. I recently started at USDA and Tony helped me a lot in training and work. He was a great person to talk to and a wealth of knowledge, not only about work but also of the Kansas City area. I am sorry for your loss.

  4. Tony was more like a little brother to me than like a cousin. Our family’s were always together it seemed like.when we were kids. He was always so funny and could ALWAYS make you laugh. Tony roni I will always love and muss you dearly. Your cuz Nancy

  5. I didn’t have a lot of interactions with Tony while working with him at GSA/USDA but when I needed help with certain work related issues he was my go to person. He never hesitated to assist me. I will miss him. I am sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
