Ashley Dawn (Henson) Bender, 40, of Buckner, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mercy Ministries – US (Residential USA Treatment Center), or to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
Ashley was born on February 8, 1984, in Independence, MO, to Michael Dale Henson Sr. and Cynthia Kay (Wright) Henson. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend. Ashley loved her family and friends dearly. Her love for her dogs, Zoe and Felix was undeniable. Ashley was baptized on August 17, 1997. She was outspoken about her love of God, always posting scriptures on her Facebook page. She will be forever in our hearts, and all who knew and loved her will cherish her memories.
Ashley is survived by her husband, Eric Howard Bender of Buckner, MO; mother and stepfather, Mark and Cynthia Hochstatter of Bucker, MO; brother, Michael Dale Henson Jr. (Amber) of Odessa, MO; niece and nephew, Tucker and Paisley Henson; stepbrother Eric Charles Hochstatter (Cassie) of Denton, TX; stepsister Morgan Marie Wixson (Derek) of Spring Hill, KS; grandmother Sharon O’Hara of Blue Springs, MO; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
