Barbara was born on November 7, 1944 in Clintonville, Wisconsin, to Lucille and Harvey Arndt.  She married who was to be her husband for the next 50 years, Larry “Joe” Davis on January 25, 1969.

Barbara was a hairdresser early in her life and when she moved to Independence, Missouri from Wisconsin she changed jobs and became a shipping manager for Community of Christ and spent the next 30 years with them. She was a very hard worker and great to have as a boss. She made many long-lasting friendships on the job.

Barbara loved all animals. Growing up she had a horse named Champ, whom she cherished. As an adult, her house was always full of cats and dogs. She also loved flowers and gardening. No matter how hard the workday, she always put a hot meal on the table for her family.  She was a great cook.  She was also a very fun-loving person and always brought life to the party. One of her greatest assets was her loving and giving personality. Barbara was always there to help anyone who needed it. She also had the ability to tackle any project and turn it into a masterpiece.  There was never anything she couldn’t find a way to do.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Harvey Arndt, and her sister, Ruby Gartzke.

She is survived by her husband Joe; oldest daughter, Tamara Williams and husband Kevin, and their sons Austin Williams and his wife Sarah and Tristin Williams; youngest daughter, Tara Sheets and Rodney Sheets and their daughter Bailey; 2 sisters, Carol Bakes and Joyce Miller, both in Wisconsin; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
