Benjamin was born to Mary Ann Riley (Anderson-Rivera) and James Christopher Anderson on August 29, 1975. He was clearly the favored and more handsome son out of the three brothers. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1994 with a specialty in epic parties. He received a degree from Vatterott College in Kansas City in electronics. He shared his talents with many companies and took pride in a great many endeavors with Harmon Industries, D&H Electric, Feldman’s, Smith Electric Vehicles, and Fairbanks Scales. With Jamie Nicole Hall, Benjamin had an 8-year relationship, bringing Benjamin Riley Anderson, II and Peyton James Anderson to the world. He adored becoming a father and his drive quickly shifted to providing an enjoyable life for his children, teaching them the best way to cook corn dogs, finding the best bait for fishing, teaching them to execute the loudest farts, and finding the most creative ways to pull loose teeth. While working at Smith Electric Vehicles, Ben found the love of his life, Heather Renee. After only 5 short months of dating, he completed the missing pieces of his family with his soon to be wife and newly found son, Lucas. On June 11, 2011 they married under a willow tree, pledging their unending love and promises to each other. Among raising their children, love of their beloved fur-babies; their passion for a challenge they created beautiful and amazing things. Ben and Heather tinkered and restored anything that passed through their garage, including bicycles, motorcycles and cars. Of all of his projects, his most prized possession was his restored 1969 442 Oldsmobile.

Benjamin is survived by his wife, Heather Renee Anderson; his grandmother Dorothy Riley of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri; his mother Mary Ann Rivera (Ron) of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri; his father James Anderson (Marsha) of Dawn, Missouri; his brother Jared Anderson (fiancée Laura Rensing) Blue Springs, Missouri; James Christopher Anderson “Chip” (Heather Jo) Anderson, Blue Springs, Missouri; Step-sister Megan Neis (Joe) Chillicothe, Missouri; step-brother David Hughes (Mary) Dawn, Missouri; step-brother Matthew Hughes (Amber), Dawn, Missouri; Brian Rivera, Kansas City, Missouri; Scott Rivera, Kansas City, Missouri; his sons Benjamin Riley Anderson II, Peyton James Anderson, Lucas Michael Gilliland all of Grain Valley, Missouri, and his puppers Sloppy Joe, Maya, and Nova; along with many nieces, nephews and extremely close friends who will dearly miss him.

  1. I loved Ben dearly. I gave my son the middle name Riley not only because of my love of the name, but our friendship. I couldn’t attend the funeral. I’m so sorry Mary Ann. Heather, he loved you so much. I just don’t have the words. I’m sorry for your loss. I will miss my dear friend always. See you in Heaven Benny. Love, Rachel Trump
