Bennie “Ben” F. Romans


Bennie “Ben” Franklin Romans, 86, of Grain Vally, MO, passed away December 6, 2024.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial at Sni Mills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Ben was born October 31, 1938 in San Diego, CA to Raymond & Viola (Bolderson) Romans. He spent most of his youth in West Plains, MO as a son of a airplane mechanic. Ben worked as a sheet metal mechanic, mechanical inspector and a over the road truck driver for 14 years. His biggest accomplishment was starting his own business in the remodeling industry that led to starting Cornerstone Home Improvement which is now owned by the 3rd generation of his family. He loved to play golf and watch westerns. Ben loved his little dog, Cookie. Everyone loved Ben and he never knew a stranger. He was a man’s man, but also a ladies’ man. Ben was a great singer and he loved Charlie Pride.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Shawn Kleoppel and 6 siblings.

Ben is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra Romans of Grain Valley, MO; 4 daughters: Beckie Lucas (Dave) of Independence, MO, Brenda Walters (Doug) of Independence, MO, Shawna Kleoppel (Billy Bob) of Hollister, MO, Bevin Johnston-Romans (John) of Independence, MO; 11 grandchildren: Brooke, Tyler, Josiah, Zachary, Noah, Hannah, Meshelle, Brittany, Megan, Cody and Remilia; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great children and many nieces and nephews.
