Bernard G. Bruckner

Bernard (Bud) Gene Bruckner passed away Thursday, May 19th, 2022. He was born October 14th, 1935, in Richland Center, Wisconsin. The oldest of three children, he was raised with his younger brother and sister on the family’s dairy farm before joining the Air Force and travelling to Germany. He is survived by his sister, wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bud held many positions in his life, mostly in the computer programming field, but the career he truly loved was teaching high school students computer programming at a local vocational technical school. Those who knew him know he loved his Scottie dogs, sports, and any kind of mental puzzle/crosswords. He thrived in retirement: travelling, becoming a foodie (particularly developing a fondness for oysters), expanding his gardening expertise to include flowers (especially tulips), and cheering on the Women’s National Soccer Team and the Kansas City Chiefs.

He requested no formal service, and condolences can be sent via the Royer Funeral home website/social media sites.
