Beulah M. Marshall

Beulah May Marshall, 86, passed from this life and went to dwell in her heavenly home on Saturday, January 7, 2017.  She was born Beulah May Walker, the oldest of three children, on July 10, 1930, to James D. and Minnie Fielder Walker, in Missouri Valley, Iowa.  Beulah graduated from Missouri Valley High School.  On September 18, 1949, Beulah married Joseph A. Marshall Jr. and set up homemaking in Missouri Valley until after her dear husband’s death.  Born of their union were: Kathy Jo, David James, Kevin Duane, and Starla Dawn.

Beulah and Joe loved to travel and loaded the children into the car each summer, exploring different parts of the United States.  They visited Hawaii twice and enjoyed a European vacation.  After Joe’s passing, Beulah continued to have travel adventures including a cruise to Alaska, European tour, and visit to Israel and Egypt.

Beulah moved to Grain Valley, Missouri in 1992. There she became active with the Blue Springs Vesper Hall Senior Center, participating in activities, singing in the choir, teaching classes, and earning a spot in their highest level of volunteer service. She attended church at Parkview Community of Christ and later at Grain Valley Community of Christ.

Beulah enjoyed painting with oils, acrylics, and watercolors.  She was a marvel with a crochet hook and pair of knitting needles.  Beulah produced dozens of gorgeous sweaters, afghans, and hats for family and friends.  In her later years, she began knitting hundreds of stocking caps which she donated to the homeless.

With a sparkle in her eyes and a ready smile she was always eager to give or receive a hug.  She loved to tease and enjoyed a good joke.  Beulah treasured her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and considered it her great calling in life to be a supportive wife and loving parent.

Beulah leaves behind her children: Kathy Marshall Argotsinger and husband David, David Marshall, Kevin Marshall and wife Brenda, Starla Marshall Burnham and husband Robert, and brother, Francis L. Walker.  Grandchildren: Amber Argotsinger Robbins, Darcie Argotsinger Johnson (Bryan), Samuel Argotsinger (Melissa), Natalie Marshall Allen (Jeremy), Elliot Marshall (Shanna), Walker Marshall.  Great-grandchildren: Gabriel Argotsinger, Orrin and Melody Johnson, Lauren Argotsinger, Beckett and Hazel Allen, and Lola Marshall.
