Billy Edward Spence, 85 of Independence, MO passed away March 12, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be 1-2:30 pm Saturday March 20, 2021 at Hosanna Chapel 11037 Winner Rd; Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday March 22, 2021 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery; Higginsville, MO.

Billy was born February 9, 1936 in Viola, AR to Lehman & Leatta (Barker) spence.

He attended Hosanna Chapel. Billy enjoyed singing and playing guitar at church. He was a Police Officer in Trenton, MO and a truckdriver. In the 1970’s Billy was in a band “The Rounders”.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; son: Billy spence, Jr February 5, 2012 and grandson: Brian Spence November 12, 2002.

Billy is survived by his wife Deanna Spence of the home; daughter: Paula Orender (Ivan) of Independence, MO; son: Doug spence (Bridget) of Independence, MO; brother: Lehman Spence, Jr (Alice) of Kearney, MO; 7 grandchildren: Joseph, Jason, Annie, Bridgette, Lora, Hailee, Willow; 8 great-grandchildren.
