
Bobby Lee Henderson left Earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 7, 2022. He was born on November 2, 1934 to Albert and Flossie (Chancellor) Henderson in Southwest City, MO, the youngest of four children. He lived in Delaware County, OK from age 3-17 years old. He attended Jay High School in Oklahoma. He came to Kansas City, MO in 1952 with his oldest brother Gene. He began working at Sears as a stockman at age 17. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He remained in reserves and was later able to take some college courses from CMSU. He was a member of Blue Ridge Assembly of God since 1968 and served as a Sunday school teacher. He continued to work at Sears until his retirement in 1990. He became a proud grandfather in 1998. He loved fishing, going on boat rides in his Pontoon, and driving his personal watercraft during visits to his lake home at the Lake of the Ozarks. He also loved spending time with his grandsons by watching them play in many sports and band activities, and during family get togethers.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marple Bennett, and his brothers Delmar and Gene Henderson. His is survived by his son Rodney (Amie) Henderson of Independence, MO and his grandsons: Eli, Oliver and Leo Henderson of Independence. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter Avalynn Henderson and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private celebration of life ceremony at a later date.
