Bonnie Faye (Morton) Pendergist, 58, of Independence, Missouri, passed away at home Sunday, October 22, 2017 after a short battle with lung cancer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Independence. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Bonnie was born May 16, 1959 and lived her entire life in Independence. She graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1977. She retired from Jackson County Parks Dept. in 2014 after 37 years.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Patrick Pendergist. She is survived by her parents, Norman & Leone Morton, and siblings, Bill and Gina Morton, all of Independence; two nephews: Adam and Andrew Morton and their families; and her beloved dog, Isabelle.
