Brianna Jane Gibson, 44 of Kansas City, MO passed away February 20, 2022. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30p.m Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home; Oak Grove, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:30pm.
Brianna was born January 14, 1978 to John R & Jane A (Owings) Gibson. She enjoyed drawing, music and played the Bass Guitar. Brianna was a math whiz. She grew up and went to school in Oak Grove. She loved the movie The Crow and Star Wars.
Brianna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Don & Helen Owings; paternal grandparents: Billie & Bobby Gibson.
Brianna is survived by her son: Liam Gibson of Independence, MO; daughter: Emma Gibson of Independence, MO; fiancé: Christian Grimm; mother: Jane Ann Rhodes (Paul) of Oak Grove, MO; father; John Robert Gibson of Success, MO; sister: Christina Whitaker (William) of Independence, MO; brother: John Gibson (Jessica) of Woodstock, GA; cousins: Steve Owings and Shawn Irvine.

26 Feb 2022Brianna, this hurts my heart. I know we hadn’t spoken for quite some time with life taking us down different paths, but you have remained in my thoughts all these years. I hope you found peace and will miss not being able to see you again.
John, Tina, Steve, Jane, and Paul, I am so sorry. This is a tremendous loss and cannot express the pain this causes for everyone who knew her. My thoughts are with you all.
