Wife of Fred Cox
When asked what her best grandmotherly advice for life was, Carol said, “to know that I will love you all forever.”
Carol’s greatest joy in life was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Some of her children and grandchildren’s greatest memories are when we all gathered around the table for meals, even when they were a bit burnt (or “cormelized” as she’d say).
Fred and Carol raised their children in Raytown, MO, where they spent most of their years. Their home was always filled with pranks and laughter; no matter how great the mischief, there was always something special about her love.
They also enjoyed family road trips and her grandchildren got to frequently experience going places with them, even if it meant just for a quick bite to eat at Cracker Barrel.
A woman’s hands can always tell a great story – hands with fingernails always polished with her favorite shade of coral or mauve, flaunting an engagement ring that perfectly fit in her sweetheart’s clasp as they began a new life together; hands that prepared many breakfast favorites, personalized school lunches, and family dinners. Hands that could get any stain out of dirty laundry, that tapped the table along to her favorite songs, that held each new baby.
Carol’s greatest gift that she gave was the love that her family have for one another. All her life, she brought people together and will continue to. She will never be forgotten for all the fond memories, the important lessons she taught, and the reminder that everything will be alright.
