Charles E. Gillison


Charles “Chuck” E. Gillison, 94, of Independence, Missouri passed away on May 2. Born in Kansas City on Jan 28, 1929, Chuck graduated from Westport High School and lived in Kansas City until moving to Independence in 1955 with his bride.  He served in the Army during the Korean War and worked for Standard Oil for forty years.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Eula, and his sister, Doris Troup.

He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Jo Ann, children Craig and Christie, son-in-law Randy Panos, and nephew John Troup and his family. He was a devoted husband and father who will be deeply missed.

At Chuck’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Please remember him by doing a kind deed for others.
