Cherry Denyse Buck, 51, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley.
Cherry was born December 9, 1964 in Marshall, Missouri, the daughter of Richard and Sandra (Bascom) Champion. As a child, she was a member of 4H. She was baptized by her aunt. Cherry helped coach her daughters Pop Warner cheerleading squad, and volunteered her time to work concession stands for her daughter’s cheerleading. She was a bus driver for the Grain Valley School District, and gave all she could to the students that rode her bus.
Cherry is preceded in death by parents; and her 2 sons, Kyle G. Buck and Geoffrey K. Buck. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Buck Jr. of the home; 2 daughters, Wendy A. Buck of Independence, MO, and Maddison K. Buck of Bates City, MO; 2 grandchildren; sister, Alisha G. Root of Marshall, MO; and aunt, Karla Wyett of Marshall, MO.
