Chester “Chet” Lee Mainard, 93, of Blue Springs, MO passed away November 23, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. Cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Chet was born June 10, 1930 in Garden City, MO. He was the son of Chester Aubrey & Grace Lee (Jackson) Mainard. He graduated in 1948 from Oak Grove High School. On February 3, 1978 at Lawrence, KS, he married Terri Holm. Chet received his certification as Brick Layer in 1950. He also finished concrete. In the 1960’s he was a Voluntary Firefighter for Oak Grove, MO. Chet was a Boy Scout Leader. In 1969 he took 12 boys to Scout Ranch in Cimmaron, N.M. for 2 weeks. Years later he worked for Midwest National Insurance Company. In the late 1980’s Chet became a skilled Wood Carver. He had a wood carving shop in Branson, MO. Chet was a huge Chiefs fan, loved fishing and hunting. He looked forward to spending the week in deer camp with family and friends.
Chet was preceded in death by his parents, son: Chester Michael Mainard, daughter: Misty Dawn Mainard, 3 brothers: Gary, Kenneth and Doug.
Chet is survived by his wife Terri; sister: Alta JoAnn Williams; sons: Daniel Mainard (Nancy), David Chase (Mireille); daughter: Connie Dent (Denton); 5 grandchildren: Rana, Josh, Sunni, Lea, Niki; 15 greatgrandchildren.
