Comment on Norma L. Young Neill by Warren Fenske https://royerfuneralhome.com/norma-l-young-neill/#comment-4080 Sat, 30 May 2026 13:01:28 +0000 https://royerfuneralhome.com/?p=15642#comment-4080 Dear Linda,

I am so saddened to learn of Norma’s death. Thank you for your message.

Norma was one of the most glamorous ladies I have ever known. She and my late mother were good friends, having met through the tole painting. It was an important part of both their lives. Norma once told me that together they had so much fun going through shops and eating in restaurants in the Shawnee Mission, Kansas and other places in Independence and Kansas City. I have one of Norma’s paintings displayed in my home office. It is an autumn scene, depicting pumpkins.

Norma was a lively woman, always busy and interested in so much. She and I corresponded for years. Although we lost touch the last few years, I still think of her fondly. She’ll be missed.

Best regards,

Warren Fenske

It’s Memorial Day and I just wanted to remind you of how much you are loved and missed by all of us! Your memory will NEVER fade and our grief of losing you will NEVER end. Tanner graduated college last weekend and he wore a necklace with a picture of you and him at his high school graduation. I hope you knew you were with him as he walked across the stage to receive his degree. He is truly a remarkable human being and you are a large part of that for teaching him how to be a good man and for being his best friend and best grandpa! Dalton is also such a kind and wonderful person and it’s also because you taught him values and how to be an honorable man. This past Saturday May 23 was a very hard day for mom not having you here to celebrate your wedding anniversary. Tanner and I went over to your and mom’s house that morning and spent some time with her before heading to Manhattan to move things out of Tanners apartment. Then Dalton spent the afternoon with her and they went to Warrensburg and put flowers on Mama, Papa and Randy’s graves like she promised Mama she would do. She also put flowers on Grandna and Grandpa Turners graves too. Then they had dinner at Coltons so we kept mom busy most of the day to help her get through a day that means so much to her but hurts her at the same time because she misses you so much. We have plans made for Father’s Day to honor you. You are ALWAYS on our minds and in our hearts. We love you so much, Dad.
Love you forever,
Tam-Tam
