Cynthia Lee Hamilton, 71, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Centerpoint Hospital with family and friends at her side. Cyndi was born August 12, 1954, in Independence, Missouri, to James and Carol (Heater) Hamilton. She graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1972.
Cyndi lived life to the fullest. She started scuba diving at five years old. She traveled the world. She rode camels in the desert and elephants through villages. She loved to skydive, so much so that she was always asking friends and family along for the jump. She repelled off the top of Chiefs stadium. She took a spin around a NASCAR track in a race car. She became a nurse and traveled with a doctor to remote Central American villages to administer aid after natural disasters.
But what her family and friends will remember is the love and care she gave so freely to us. She was always the first to offer comfort, support, praise. The void she leaves is unmeasurable.
Cyndi leaves her sister Marci Martin, nephews Michael Martin (Amberly), Mark Whitt (Natalie)and family, David Whitt (Tracy) and family, Matthew Martin predeceased. great nieces, Dixie Woodward (Zoey, Ian), Skyler Martin, great nephew, Ty Turney, Carol Hall, Jackie Quick and family. The family extends our heartfelt thanks for the prayers, love and support we received from Cyndi‘s church family at Living Hope and especially Cyndi‘s dear friend Susan Hunter, who tirelessly sat by Cyndi’s side, giving comfort, support and sharing her own stories of adventures with Cyndi.

16 Jan 2026I am going to miss my cousin Cyndi, we had good times when we were kids, traveled to Corpus Cristi Tx with her mom and dad, my Aunt Carol and Uncle Jim, and had a blast on the beach. Uncle Jim drove his truck and took their Camper to camp out on the beach. Stopped a few places and had lunch along the way. Then Cyndi and I flew back a week later on a plane with TWA, I remember cousin Marci picking us up at the airport. I rememeber I left my dads brownie camera at the resturant and I was so upset that my dad would be mad at me and Marci had to turn around on the highway to go back and see if it was still there and it was, still their on the table. Then we used to go down to Pom de tar in the Ozarks where I learned to water ski. Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol drove us around the lake and we had campfires and so many good memorys with Cyndi. I really am going to miss our chatts too on FaceBook talking about Jesus. I’m smiling right now just thinking the JOY she is having with her Lord and Savior and most likely see her all her family that passed on before her. One day will see eachother again rejoicing together in the Heavenly Kingdom and I beleive it could be anytime. God Bless you Cyndi and SEE YOU LATER COUSIN.
