Dale R. Miller


Dale Ray Miller, 65 of Buckner, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019.   Services will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at First Baptist Church of Buckner with visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. and funeral at 3:00 p.m., followed by burial in Buckner Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Dale was born April 17, 1954 in Independence, Missouri, the son of Harold and Dixie L. (Faulconer) Miller.  He married Marilyn Boos on September 22, 1973.  Dale was an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the NRA.  Dale loved riding his Harley and was a fan of Elvis.  Most of all, he dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  Dale had a larger than life personality and owned any room he walked into.

His survivors include his wife, Marilyn Miller of the home; two sons: Jess Miller (Wendy) of Independence, MO, and Kale Miller of Green, KS; two brothers: Harold Miller Jr. (Janet) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Joseph L. Miller Sr. (Karen) of Odessa, MO; two grandchildren: Cody and Ashleigh Miller of Independence; and many nieces and nephews.  Dale is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Michael Miller in 1952.
