20 Oct 2024I did not know Dalton Smith personally. I happened to run into his family and friends today while I was shopping. After asking why they were all sharpy dressed, they told me of Dalton’s passing. Although you don’t know me, my heart goes out to all who knew and loved him. May the Lord keep you in the palm of his hands during this difficult time

24 Oct 2024Dear Mr. Smith
I felt compelled to write to you in light of your passing, as the impact you had on my life deserves to be shared. I can hardly express how much you meant to me. You weren’t just a teacher; you truly cared for your students and treated me with such kindness and respect. Your unwavering support throughout my health class was a gift that I will always cherish.
You were one of the rare people who made me feel seen. Our conversations about nutrition, diet, and rock climbing were so much more than casual exchanges; they were moments where you shared your wisdom and genuine concern for my well-being. I looked up to you not only as a teacher but as someone who genuinely wanted the best for his students. Your absence of judgment and your ability to uplift made such a difference in my life.
Hearing about your passing is devastating. It feels incredibly unfair to lose such a wonderful person who positively impacted so many lives. My heart aches knowing you’re no longer here, but I will always carry your lessons and kindness with me.
Thank you for everything, Mr. Smith. You will forever be remembered for the profound impact you made on my life and the lives of countless others.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ahmed
