Dan Lasater

Dan Lasater, age 77, died on November 26, 2015 at home in Independence, Missouri.

Dan is survived by his wife, Valorie; son, Grant Lasater; daughter, Tonya Hague (Brian); two sisters, June Bartley and Nancy Crews (Drummond); two brothers, Keith Lasater (Glenda) and Perry Lasater (Linda); granddaughter, Sydney Feipel (Andrew); and many nieces and nephews.

Dan was born on November 6, 1938 in Mount Hope, Kansas, to parents Oran and Helen Lasater (both deceased).  Dan spent most of his life in construction, working on infrastructure projects and building many homes. He was self-taught, observing construction projects and machinery, then building what he observed. He loved nature and was especially fond of animals; he took great joy from his dog Brandie, who was among those with him when he passed.

Dan was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He married Valorie on December 27, 1976. He will be remembered by family and friends as a man of great faith with a creative mind, a natural curiousity, a wonderful sense of humor and a love of life.

At the mutual request of Dan and Valorie, there will be no memorial service. Memorial gifts may be made to Village Hospice, 1001 NW Chipman Road, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, 64081.

Arrangements: Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO816-229-5551
