David Lee Cummins, 77, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grain Valley Animal Hospital, 116 S. Main Street, Grain Valley, MO.
David was born January 26, 1941 in Oak Grove, Missouri, the son of Arlie Glen Sr. and Clara Mabel (Jackson) Cummins. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1959 and went to work at the GM Leeds Assembly Plant where he retired in 1988. He was an avid bowler, talented musician, enjoyed dancing and lover of old movies.
David was preceded in death by his older brothers, Jim Cummins and Arlie Cummins Jr. He is survived by a sister, Lona Gercone of Farmington, MO; three children: Divitte Swartz of Grain Valley MO, Scott Cummins of St. Petersburg, FL, and Lance Cummins of Frederick, MD; three grandsons: Nicholas Swartz, Matthew Swartz, and Tom Swartz; three granddaughters: Jessica Crook, Elizabeth Prall, and Summer Cummins; and seven great-grandchildren.
