Dayton C. House, 25, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020. A celebration in Dayton’s honor will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th at The Fieldhouse, 1300 E. White Road, Oak Grove, MO. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Dayton’s memorial music scholarship through the Oak Grove School District. Dayton was born November 6, 1994 in Independence, Missouri, the son of Ryan and Brandalyn (Ott) Goodridge. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in 2013 and then worked as a customer rep at T-Mobile in Independence for 4 years. Dayton enjoyed disc golf, soccer, going to concerts, and listening to and writing music. He played guitar in the band, Sons of Stereo.
Dayton is survived by his parents, Ryan & Brandy Goodridge of Oak Grove, MO; brother, Gunnar Goodridge of Oak Grove; grandparents: Ottavia & Kevin Carter of Oak Grove, Eldon Ott of Osceola, MO, and Kevin & Jeanne Goodridge of Bates City, MO; great-grandparents: Dolores Ott of Bolivar, MO, Helen Denton of Independence, MO, and Karl & Daralene Carter of Lone Jack, MO; his cat, Truman House; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
