Deboragh S. Knox


Deboragh “Debbie” Sue Knox, 64, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 after a hard fought battle with cancer. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th also at the funeral home; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Truck Historical Society or the Great Dance Club of Kansas City (Rescue).

Debbie was born on November 1, 1953 in Clinton, MO, daughter of Rolla and Thelma (Watson) Richeson. Debbie married her husband, Rick Knox on August 30, 1974. Together they had one daughter, Pamela; and 2 sons, Michael and Nicholas. She was a life member of the American Truck Historical Society. She enjoyed boating, traveling to all parts of the country with Rick in their antique Semi, but her greatest enjoyment was her family and her fur babies. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Knox; parents; 2 brothers, Jim Richeson and Larry Richeson; 2 sisters, Betty Lou Stapleton and Mildred Brownlee.

Debbie is survived by her husband and soul mate, Rick Knox of the home; one daughter, Pamela Keen (Stephen) of Independence, MO; one son, Nicholas Knox (Alyssa Greedy) of Prairie Village, KS; 2 sisters-in-law, Pamela J. Botts of Lawrence, KS and Tony Beth of Independence; her English Mastiff, Tank of the home; 2 sisters, Georgia Lawson of Clinton and Peggy Croghan of St. Louis, MO.
