Delores M. Turner


Delores Maxine Turner, 90, lifelong resident of Bates City, Missouri, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 28, 2021.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4th in Concord Cemetery, Bates City, MO.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.

Delores was born April 22, 1930, in Kansas City, MO the daughter of John Arthur and Edna Emma (Patterson) Ruckdeschell.  She graduated from Bates City School.  Delores spent all of her working career as an Insurance Underwriter.  She was also the church clerk for 48 years, was President of the Concord Cemetery Association, and had been a 4-H leader.  Delores loved traveling, reading, and history.  She had open arms for all people and hosted many missionaries.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Burton in 1993; two sisters, Naomi Curnett and Mildred Hackley; and brother, James Ruckdeschell.

Her survivors include four children: Margaret Gardner (Norman), Lawrence Turner (Marie), Harold Turner (Sheila), and Bruce Turner (Nancy), all of Bates City; foster daughter, Jo Ann Bonadonna of MO; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; four siblings: Louise Maher (Bruce) of Cheyanne, WY, Charles Ruckdeschell (Mary Lou) of Richmond, MO, Tom Ruckdeschell (Lois) of Richmond, and Janice Williams (John) of FL; brother-in-law, Robert Hackley of Republic, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

  1. Bruce and Nancy I’m so sorry to learn of your loss. Your mother was the sweetest lady as I remember visiting with her at my kids ballgames years back. May God give you and all your family peace and comfort during this difficult time.
